27일(미국 현지시간) 국제 금 가격이 전자거래에서 2천달러를 넘어섰다. 이스라엘이 팔레스타인 가자지구에 대규모 공습이 가하면서 안전 피난처 금 가격이 올랐다.
금요일(현지시간) 뉴욕상품거래소(Comex)에서 올해 12월물 금 선물 가격은 전거래일 대비 1.10달러(0.05%) 오른 온스당 1,998.50달러에 거래를 마감했다. 정규 장 마감 이후 금 가격은 전자 거래에서 2,017.20달러/oz까지 거래됐다. 이는 지난 5월 16일 이후 5개월 만에 가장 높은 수준이다. 또, 한 주간 금가격은 0.2% 오르며, 3주 연속 상승세를 기록했다. 최근 미국 금리 상승과 달러 강세에도 불구하고 국제 금값은 이스라엘-하마스 사태가 발생한 지난 7일 이후 약 8%(140달러) 이상 상승했다.

Gold Newsletter의 편집자인 브라이언 룬딘(Brien Lundin)은 "이스라엘이 가자지구에 대한 지상 침공을 확대하고 있다는 소식에 이날 오후 거래에서 금값이 더 많이 상승했다"며 "투자자들은 금을 소유하지 않고 주말에 들어가기를 원하지 않는다"고 설명했다.

소비자가 순금 1돈 팔때 가격은 전 거래일보다 0.63% 오른 317,000원을 나타냈다. 18k, 14k 팔때 가격도 각 233,000원, 180,700원으로 전장 대비 약 0.6% 상승했다(18k와 14k 살때는 제품시세를 적용한다).
